Access Log Manager
Access Log Manager - what role does it serve and how you can use the data you can find inside it.
An access log is a comprehensive list of all the files that were accessed by the visitors of a certain Internet site. Every file that was requested for some reason will be listed, so if you have only one page with three embedded images, one video and one embedded text file, for example, the access log shall contain a total of six entries - one for each of the six files that were accessed when the visitor opened the page. A log normally contains the file name and path, the date, plus the visitor’s OS, browser and IP address. In some cases you can also find the referrer sites that sent the visitors to your site. The data an access log file provides is in human-readable plain text format. It can be processed by special software on a desktop machine and used to write reports on the functionality of a website, in addition to the web stats that your server may have created.

Access Log Manager in Cloud Hosting
If you buy a
cloud hosting from us, you shall be able to decide if access logs must be created and for which domains or subdomains in your account this should be done. You could activate this function from the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia CP, integrated with all shared accounts. Any domain name you host or subdomain you create shall be listed there and you see an On/Off option next to every one of them, so you can quickly enable or deactivate the generation of access logs independently for each website that you have. You could save a log to your personal computer by clicking on the Download link you'll see in the same exact section of the CP. The link will be available even after you deactivate the log generation, so you will still have access to the data compiled by our system.

Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers
Our state-of-the-art hosting platform will create access logs for any Internet site hosted inside a
semi-dedicated server account, assuming that this function is enabled. All domain names and subdomains that you have shall be listed within the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia CP, which we provide with all of the accounts, so if you'd like our system to start generating logs for each of them, you should simply click on the compact button on the right side of the respective domain/subdomain and switch the default Off option to On. You may stop this function anytime by following the same steps. You'll find a Download link for each log inside the very same section of the CP, so you can save the content produced by our system in .txt format with only a mouse click. An existing log file can be downloaded even after the option has been disabled, so you'll still be able to see the data which has already been generated.
